HOME TOGETHER AND HAPPY :

🇫🇷 C’est toujours un chouette truc de donner un nom, un sens, un titre, à quelques notes de piano, d’imaginer où on sera, qui on sera au moment où elles sortiront dans “le monde”, d’imaginer qui les écoutera et comment elles seront perçues. “Home Together and Happy” a de multiples échos dans ma vie et j’ai plaisir à partager, dans ces tout premiers jours de 2025, quelques mots qui donneront un point de contexte aux petites notes de musique.

“Alone ▶︎ Together” :

En arrivant au Moulin Roty en 2020, j’avais posé mon piano à roulettes face au soleil couchant. Une sensation de bien-être, de ré-enracinement m’avaient conduit à emprunter cette formule “Home Alone and Happy” à Emiliana Torrini pour le titre d’une petit ballade en do dièse majeur (ouverture de mon album “Wind Blows” - 2022). Happy, l’étais-je vraiment ? En chemin vers davantage de bonheur, certainement… Quelques années plus tard, à nouveau accompagné d’un piano mobile, mais surtout d’une femme et d’une féline extraordinaires, formidables compagnes de voyage, d’autres petites notes s’offrent à moi. Le tempo est plus gai, l’harmonie plus légère : qu’il est bon d’être “ensemble”, et qu’il est bon de se le dire !

“Home Piano Live” :

Avec “Open Borders”, dans lequel figure “Home Together and Happy”, de nouvelles maisons ouvrent leurs portes et leurs cœurs à mes chers concerts chez l’habitant. Je savoure le fait de partager en musique le fruit de mes dernières prises de conscience. Des retours toujours encourageants et emplis de gratitude. Alors “Home Together and Happy”, c’est mon hommage à toutes les hôtesses et tous les hôtes des concerts “Home Piano Live”. Merci d’avoir réunis autour de mon piano, en toute intimité, les personnes qui vous sont proches. Nous avons vibré ensemble, chaque concert est profondément engrammé en moi.

Merci Diana pour ces images, souvenirs éternels de ce grand tour d’Europe. Kotor, sa douceur de vivre… et ses papis grincheux 😉

🇬🇧 It's always a nice thing to give a name, a meaning, a title, to music notes, to imagine where we will be, who we will be when they come out in "the world", to imagine who will listen to them and how they will be perceived. "Home Together and Happy" has multiple echoes in my life and I am happy to share in these very first days of 2025, a few words that will give some context to these music notes.

"Alone ▶︎ Together":

When I arrived at Moulin Roty in 2020, I had placed my piano on wheels facing the setting sun. A feeling of well-being, of re-rooting had led me to borrow this formula "Home Alone and Happy" from Emiliana Torrini for the title of a little ballad in C sharp major (opening of my album "Wind Blows" - 2022). Happy, was I really? On the road to greater happiness, certainly… A few years later, once again accompanied by a mobile piano, but above all by an extraordinary woman and an extraordinary cat, wonderful travel companions, I discover some new notes. The tempo is more cheerful, the harmony lighter: how good it is to be “together”, and how good it is to say it to each other!

“Home Piano Live”:

With “Open Borders”, which includes “Home Together and Happy”, new homes open their doors and their hearts to my cherished concerts at people’s homes. I enjoy sharing through music the fruit of my latest realizations. Feedback is always encouraging and filled with gratitude. So “Home Together and Happy” is my tribute to all the hostesses and hosts of the “Home Piano Live” concerts. Thank you for having gathered around my piano, in complete intimacy, the people who are close to you. We vibrated together, each concert is deeply engraved in me.
