This song 'Heu heu' from the Ludus Danielis sees our hero Daniel expressing some dismay at the prospect of being cast into the lion's den.

Here's Richard and Gill on an early recording day for the new Ludus Danielis project. We look forward to bringing in a whole array of musicians and singers to add to the sound and variety on this recording. Richard and Gill worked together here to sculpt and finesse some of Daniel's solo songs from the play. This version was a quick capture of a practice on a smart phone, but we later managed to record this song and several others during the day.

We look forward to many more recording days!

This live recording was captured March 2025 and is part of the inspiration for a new ongoing Trouvere project focused on producing a full album of the Ludus Danielis in its entirety. This project is no small undertaking and will involve the talents of no fewer than eight medieval music specialists.

We plan to keep working in this vein on a series of albums, all using the finely honed skills of the various musicians we have come to know and respect over the years.
