The ancient love story, A Peacock Flying to the Southeast (孔雀東南飛), tells of the tragedy of two lovers, torn apart by the man's mother. The two take their own lives to fulfill their destiny of living together in the other world, symbolized by the image of a peacock flying to the southeast. This story has become a Chinese legend, and in this dance of beauty and grace, we mimic the movements of the peacock, and think of a love that conquered all.
